HOW DO I REGISTER WITH YOUR PRACTICE?


From March, You can fill in a "Patient registration form" - available on our website, under the 'Useful Forms' tab. You can email your registration form to reception@grangeroadfamilypractice.com. We will then register you on our system. You can also fill in a "Transfer of file request" which we are happy to send on to your previous GP. Don't worry if you aren't too computer savvy, you can fill in these forms at the time of your first consultation.

I HAVE A MEDICAL / GMS/ DVC CARD, CAN I REGISTER WITH YOUR PRACTICE?

From March 2023, Yes. Our GMS panel is still open, you can find a "Change of Dr form" under our useful forms section and email it on to us, we will then send on to the HSE. We welcome all new patients including Garda Scheme, Maternity & Infant care, E1-11 card holders etc.

DO YOU OFFER SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS?

If you need an urgent appointment, you should call first thing in the morning and give our reception team as much information as possible to relay on to the GP. Appointments are triaged in order of need. Same day appointments during busy seasons are not always available. If you feel you have an emergency you should call 999 or 112.

I HAVE COVID-19 SYMPTOMS WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If you are experiencing any typical symptoms of Coronavirus, please isolate and follow HSE advice. If you feel you're worsening and can't control your symptoms at home, please call here to speak with a GP.

HOW SHOULD I ORDER MY PRESCRIPTION?

From 1st August 2023, prescriptions must be ordered on our "prescription request form"

WHEN WILL MY BLOOD RESULTS BE AVAILABLE?

Routine blood results should be back on our surgery system within 3-4 days of them being taken but to allow for all your results to be back and giving your GP enough time to review and comment on them, please allow 7 working days before contacting the surgery. If there is an issue with some of your blood results we will call you requesting that you make an appointment to discuss these with your GP or to repeat the test after a certain time period.

CAN MY GP GIVE ME MY COVID VACCINE?

To date, we have successfully administered over 2000 vaccines to our patients over 70, Cohorts 4 & 7. We have now finished vaccinating our patients. If you believe you are in Cohort 4 or 7, please call the COVID helpline on 1800 700 700. Outside of these cohorts you can apply through the HSE national vaccine portal when invited by age.
