The Answers You’ve Been Looking For

HOW DO I REGISTER WITH YOUR PRACTICE?

We currently have an open list and welcome requests for registration with the practice. You can fill in a "Patient registration form" - available on our website, under the 'Useful Forms' tab. You can email your registration form to reception@grangeroadfamilypractice.com. We will then register you on our system. You can also fill in a "Transfer of file request" which we are happy to send on to your previous GP. Don't worry if you aren't too computer savvy, you can fill in these forms at the time of your first consultation.

I HAVE A MEDICAL / GMS/ DVC CARD, CAN I REGISTER WITH YOUR PRACTICE?

Yes. Our GMS panel is still open, you can find a "Change of Dr form" under our useful forms section. We welcome all new patients including Garda Scheme, Maternity & Infant care, E1-11 card holders etc.

DO YOU OFFER SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS?

If you need an urgent appointment, you should call first thing in the morning and give our reception team as much information as possible to relay on to the GP. Appointments are triaged in order of need. Same day appointments during busy seasons are not always available. If you feel you have an emergency you should call 999 or 112.

I HAVE COVID-19 SYMPTOMS WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If you are experiencing any typical symptoms of Coronavirus, call us here at the clinic where you will be scheduled for a phone consultation with one of our GPs who will call you to discuss your symptoms and arrange testing.

HOW SHOULD I ORDER MY PRESCRIPTION?

You can call reception , fill in or contact form or email us on reception@grangeroadfamilypractice.com outlining your Name, DOB and address and what medication you require. Prescriptions are now sent electronically directly to a pharmacy of your choice. There is a charge for private patient "repeat prescriptions". This can be paid with card over the phone at present. Please give 24 hours notice.

WHEN WILL MY BLOOD RESULTS BE AVAILABLE?

Routine blood results should be back on our surgery system within 3-4 days of them being taken but to allow for all your results to be back and giving your GP enough time to review and comment on them, please allow 7 working days before contacting the surgery to check on them. If there is an issue with some of your blood results we will call you requesting that you make an appointment to discuss these with your GP or to repeat the test after a certain time period.
